On May 30, 2009 history was made in Brantford, Ontario Canada when the FIRST OBC (Ontario Boxing Council) Titles were awarded. The OBC was formed to recognize young up and coming Canadian boxers who show they may be worthy of someday competing for a World Title. The “Showdown In Bell Town” was the first show, which featured two of these titles on the line. Tebor Brosch and Paul Watson fought for the OBC Jr. Middleweight Title and Buzz Grant took on Harrison McBain for the OBC Lightweight Title. BOTH of these fights, as well as ALL the fights on this card were EXCEPTIONAL! Listen to Billy C and John Robbins call the action in the nearly sold-out Brantford Civic Center in what was truly a GREAT night of boxing! (Other bouts featured Kara McLeod vs. Priscilla Trompowsky, Scott Paul vs. Dan Slezak, Isaac Maich vs. John LaPere and Frank Abbiw vs. Chris Aucoin.
